LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ – The trio of junior
Simon DiMaggio and
Josh Dugard and red-shirt freshman
Chan Lee all fired opening rounds of 73 on Monday (Apr. 27) to lead Francis Marion University to a fourth-place standing at the 2026 Big Sky Conference Men's Golf Championship Tournament.
The three-day 54-hole event is being played on the 7,066-yard, par-72 Wigwam Resort Gold Course.
Sacramento State University leads the team standings with a 290 tally, followed by the University of Idaho (291), the University of Northern Colorado (293), FMU (294), Weber State University (299), and Eastern Washington University (303).
DiMaggio, Dugard, and Lee are tied for sixth position in the players' standings. Patriot sophomore
Leander Neuhaus carded a first-round 75 and is tied for 16th place, while senior
Pake June shot 79 and is tied for 28th position.
Gabriel Smith of Sacramento State fired a four-under-par 68 to lead the players' standings.
Francis Marion golfers will tee off the second round at the first hole beginning at 10:20 a.m. (EST) on Tuesday.
