FARMINGTON, UT – At the conclusion of the 2025-26 athletic calendar, the Big Sky Conference presents the Scholar-Athletes for this year, as Francis Marion University recent graduate Pake June of the men's golf program was recognized with the honor on Thursday afternoon (July 16).

To be eligible for this award, the student-athlete must have exhausted his or her intercollegiate athletic eligibility and/or be a member of the graduating class, earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 (on a 4.0) scale, been a participant in a Big Sky-sponsored sport, completed at least two (2) years of intercollegiate competition at the institution, and been a letter winner.

Pake, a native of Florence, S.C., recently completed a four-year collegiate career with the Patriots and earned his bachelor of business administration in management (HR specialty) while maintaining a 3.28 GPA. He competed in over 100 rounds at Francis Marion with 35 career tournaments played, including playing in seven events in 2025-26.

This season, the product of Trinity Collegiate School registered a 76.19 stroke average in 21 rounds of competition. June posted a season-best finish at the Big Sky Conference Championship after placing 20th overall. Academically, June was named to the Big Sky Conference Spring All-Academic Team in 2025-26.

"Putting together an entire career that would qualify you to be a Scholar Athlete in the Big Sky Conference is an incredibly impressive feat, and all 23 individuals being honored today should be very proud of themselves for what they've accomplished," Commissioner Tom Wistrcill said. "This is a group that has compiled a long list of accolades for their respective sports and are now putting a bow on their stellar careers with a diploma in hand, which is truly what collegiate athletics is all about."
