Neuhaus named to CSC Academic All-District Team

FLORENCE, SC – Francis Marion University sophomore golfer Leander Neuhaus has been named to the College Sports Communicators Men's At-Large Academic All-District Team for 2025-26, which was announced on Tuesday (June 16).

A native of Hamburg, Germany, Neuhaus owns a 3.82 cumulative grade point average as a business management major.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, with the Academic All-America® honorees to be announced in early July.

Neuhaus was a 2026 second-team selection to the Big Sky Conference Men's Golf All-Conference Team. He led the Francis Marion squad with a 72.53 stroke average and was Francis Marion's top finisher in eight of 10 events. Neuhaus played every round for the Patriots during the regular season and produced six Top 25 finishes and three Top 10 showings, including a tie for sixth at the Big Sky Conference Championship.

During the regular season, he was tabbed as the Big Sky Conference Men's Golfer of the Week four times.

For his work in the classroom, he was placed on the FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll and Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll in every semester at FMU.

Neuhaus is a product of Gymnasium Eppendorf (Hamburg).

The Division II CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-America® program.
