Chan Lee fired a one-under-par 71 score over the final 18 holes to lead Francis Marion University as the Patriots placed 11th after Sunday's (March 29) final round of the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate Men's Golf Tournament hosted by East Carolina University.
The three-day 54-hole event was played on the 7,280-yard, par-72 Cutter Creek Golf Club course.
Francis Marion registered a 292 team score on Sunday and finished with an 896 total, just two strokes out of the Top 10.
Campbell University and Elon University tied for the team title with 54-hole totals of 855.
Junior
Leander Neuhaus was FMU's top finisher in the players' standings as he shot a final-round 73 to tie for 24th position at 221. Junior
Simon DiMaggio carded a 75 on Sunday and tied for 43rd place with a 226 tally.
Other Patriot golfers included Lee (78-79-71=228) tied for 51st position, junior
Josh Dugard (78-79-73=230) tied for 57th, senior
Pake June (70-80-81=231) tied for 61st, and junior
Ryan Bozard (77-83-77=237) tied for 79th.
William Carr of Elon earned medalist honors by one stroke with a 72-71-65=208 scorecard.
Francis Marion concludes its regular-season schedule Apr. 12-14 at the Wofford College Intercollegiate Tournament.
