TALLAHASSEE, FL – Sophomore
Leander Neuhaus led Francis Marion University during Tuesday's (March 17) final round at the Seminole Intercollegiate Men's Golf Tournament hosted by Florida State University. The Patriots finished 20th in the team standings.
The three-day event was played on the 7,505-yard, par-72 Seminole Legacy course.
FMU notched a 309 team score over the final 18 holes to finish at 926.
Neuhaus shot a 76 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 40th position in the players' standings at 226.
Juniors
Simon DiMaggio (77 on Tuesday) and
Josh Dugard (82) both finished at 234 and tied for 86th, while red-shirt freshman
Chan Lee (78) tied for 96th and senior
Pake June (78) tied for 100th position.
Florida State captured the team title by 19 strokes over second-place University of Southern Mississippi, while Anders Larson of Eastern Kentucky University rallied over the final few holes to claim medalist honors with a 69-74-66=209 scorecard.
Francis Marion returns to action March 27-29 at the Cutter Creek Invitational Tournament hosted by East Carolina University in Snow Hill, N.C.
