Patriot Golfers remain 20th at Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, FL – Junior Josh Dugard shot a 76 to pace Francis Marion University during Monday's (March 16) weather-delay second round at the Seminole Intercollegiate Men's Golf Tournament hosted by Florida State University.  The Patriots remain 20th in the team standings after 36 of 54 holes.

The three-day event will conclude on Tuesday on the 7,505-yard, par-72 Seminole Legacy course.

Teams were originally set to play 18 holes on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.  However, because of forecasted rain on Monday, teams returned to the course on Sunday afternoon to start round two. Squads then finished up the second round after rain subsided on Monday afternoon.

Francis Marion followed up a first-round 309 team score with a 308 total over the second 18 holes.  The host Seminoles lead the team standings by 12 strokes over second-place University of Southern Mississippi.

Sophomore Leander Neuhaus leads FMU in the players' standings after shooting a 77 on Monday and sits tied for 39th position.

Dugard is tied for 55th place, while junior Simon DiMaggio is tied for 86th after shooting 79 during the second round. Red-shirt freshman Chan Lee carded a 77 during the second round and is tied for 95th and senior Pake June (78) occupies 101st position.
