Pake June and sophomore
Leander Neuhaus each carded even-par 70 scores to pace Francis Marion University during Tuesday's (March 10) final round of the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate Men's Golf Tournament. The Patriots finished 11th in the team standings.
The 54-hole event was played on the 6,617-yard, par-70 Palmetto Golf Club course.
Francis Marion tallied a final-round 290 team score to finish the tournament at 870, four strokes out of the Top 10
Campbell University and UAB both shot final-round 275 scores, allowing the Camels to escape with the team title by two strokes over the Blazers.
Neuhaus finished tied for 23rd position in the players' standings with a four-over-par 76-68-70=214 scorecard.
FMU junior
Josh Dugardd (74-70-75=219) finished tied for 42nd, while red-shirt freshman
Chan Lee (72-74-75=221) tied for 49th position. Junior
Simon DiMaggio (77-70-76=223) tied for 55th place, while June (76-83-70=229) tied for 64th. June is a product of Trinity Collegiate School.
Ashton Harper produced an eight-under-par 63-68-71=202 scorecard and captured medalist honors by a one-stroke margin.
Francis Marion returns to action on March 15-17 at the Seminole Intercollegiate Tournament hosted by Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla.
