FLORENCE, SC - For the second week in a row, Francis Marion University sophomore
Leander Neuhaus has been named the Big Sky Conference Men's Golfer of the Week. Last week, Neuhaus shared the honor.
In the Patriots' final action of the fall season, he recorded a 71-73-73=217 (+4) scorecard at the 55th-annual Furman Intercollegiate presented by Ezelle/Hines Properties to register his second consecutive Top-20 finish (he tied for 20th position). He helped Francis Marion to a 15th-place showing in the team standings.
His first round included an eagle on the par-5, 565-yard 15th hole.
He led the team during the 2025 portion of the schedule with a 71.75 stroke average. FMU's next action will come on Feb. 16-17 when the Patriots host their annual Wexford Intercollegiate Tournament on Hilton Head Island.
Neuhaus is majoring in business management and is a native of Hamburg, Germany, and a graduate of Gymnasium Eppendorf.
