GREENVILLE, SC – Sophomore
Leander Neuhaus shot a final-round 73 to register his second consecutive Top-20 finish as Francis Marion University finished 15th in the final team standings on Sunday (Oct. 19) at the 55th-annual Furman Intercollegiate Men's Golf Tournament presented by Ezelle/Hines Properties.
The 54-hole event was played on the 7,131-yard. par-71 Furman University Golf Course. This was the final tournament for the Patriots during the fall portion of their schedule. FMU will host the Wexford Intercollegiate Tournament on Hilton Head Island on Feb. 16-17, 2026.
Francis Marion posted a final-round 303 team score and finished with an 894 total. Stetson University edged Campbell University by six strokes to gain the team title.
Only five days after a seventh-place showing at Elon University's Phoenix Invitational, Neuhaus tied for 20th with a three-round total of 217 at the Furman event.
Junior
Ryan Bozard shot a final-round 75 and tied for 66th position with a 225 total. Senior
Pake June carded a 76 on Sunday and junior
Simon DiMaggio shot 79 as both players tied for 71st position at 226.
Patriot freshman
Cade Jordan placed 83rd after a final-round 80.
Matthis Lefevre of Stetson captured medalist honors with a 65-72-70=207 scorecard.
