GREENVILLE, SC – Francis Marion University stands 15th after the opening two rounds on Saturday (Oct. 18) of the 55th-annual Furman Intercollegiate Men's Golf Tournament presented by Ezelle/Hines Properties.
The 54-hole event is being played on the 7,131-yard. par-71 Furman University Golf Course. The final round will begin with a shotgun start on Sunday at 8:45 a.m.
The Patriots posted team rounds of 301 and 290 on Saturday. Campbell University and Stetson University are tied for the team lead.
Sophomore
Leander Neuhaus leads the FMU golfers as he carded rounds of 71 and 73 and is tied for 24th in the players' standings at 144. Junior
Simon DiMaggio is tied for 42nd position with a 75-72=147 scorecard.
Other Patriot golfers are senior
Pake June (77-73=150) and junior
Ryan Bozard (78-72=150) both tied for 66th and freshman
Cade Jordan (78-76=154) is in 83rd place.
