FLORENCE, SC – Francis Marion University dropped only one set en route to a 7-0 non-conference victory over Erskine College, Friday afternoon (Feb. 15) in women's tennis action.

Francis Marion improves to 3-1.  Both the Patriot men's and women's teams will play at local rival Coker College on Wednesday at 1 p.m.

The Patriots quickly took the one doubles point as junior Magan Head and sophomore Lesshika Vala won 6-0 at the No.3 position and sophomore Elisa Lang and freshman Denise Hartmann captured a 6-2 win at the top spot.

Needing only three singles victories to clinch the match, FMU received wins from Hartmann at No. 2 (6-3, 6-0), Vala at No.6 (6-1, 7-5), and freshman Eva Zannier at No.4 (6-1, 6-0).

Also earning singles wins for Francis Marion were sophomore Fredrika Regner at No.1 (7-6 (7-3), 6-4), Lang at No.3 (6-7 (4-7), 7-5, 10-4), and sophomore Nikita Berger at No.5 (6-2, 6-0).
