Xavier Schwarz and sophomore
Ryan Bozard, have been named to the 2025 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars list as announced this week by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
The list includes 556 NCAA Division I athletes from 190 schools across the country.
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically, must have participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0, and own a minimum cumulative career grade point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
Schwarz, a native of Virginia Water, Surrey, England, recently graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing, and finished with a 3.533 cumulative grade point average.
He is a two-time selection to the Southland Conference's Academic All-Conference squad, and was named FMU's team most valuable player for the second consecutive year. He is a member of Chi Alpha Sigma national college athlete honor society, served on the University's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and was placed on the FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll for all six of his semesters. He was named to the College Sports Communicators Men's At-Large Teams Academic All-District Team for both 2024 and 2025.
On the course, he registered a team-best 73.90 stroke average for 11 events, recorded seven rounds of par or better, and his best finish was a seventh-place showing at the Southland Conference Championship Tournament, where he produced a 71-70-72=213 scorecard.
Over his three-year career at FMU, Schwarz posted a 74.35 stroke average covering 32 events (91 rounds).Â

Bozard, a native of Hollywood, S.C., has a 3.402 GPA as a biology major. This past season, he competed in 10 of 11 tournament, posted two rounds of par or better (including a season-low 69 score), and registered a 75.68 stroke average for 28 competitive rounds. His best finish was a 23rd-place showing at the Wexford Intercollegiate Tournament on Hilton Head Island. He finished 47th at the 2025 Southland Conference event.
He is part of the Honors College and has been named to the FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll for all four of his semesters.
The two helped Francis Marion to a sixth-place finish at the Southland Conference Tournament and to six Top-10 showings in 11 tournaments.
Schwarz is a product of ACS Egham International School and Bozard is a graduate of West Ashley High School.
