Leander Neuhaus led Francis Marion University, this time with even-par 71 scores, as the Patriots moved up one position to sixth on the final day (Saturday, March 15) of the Peoples Championship at Sea Palms Resort.
The three-day, 54-hole event was played on the par-71, 6,664-yard layout at the Sea Palms Resort.
FMU senior
Xavier Schwarz shot a final-round 72 and along with June and Neuhaus finished in a tie for 16th position in the players' standings with one-over-par 214 scorecards.
Sophomore
Ryan Bozard shot 75 on Saturday and tied for 29th place at three-over 216, while sophomore
Josh Dugard shot a 79 and tied for 98th position at 228.
Francis Marion posted a 289 team score during the final round, finished with an 858 tournament total, and tied with the University of Richmond and Wright State University – all just one shot out of the Top 5.
UNC Greensboro earned the team title, finishing 16 strokes ahead of second-place Davidson College.
Drue Nicholas of Drexel University earned medalist honors with a 66-69-66=201 (-12) scorecard.
Francis Marion will return to action on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday (March 16-18) at Kennesaw State University's Linger Longer Invitational Tournament in Oconee, Ga.
