HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC – Sophomore
Ryan Bozard fired a final-round 75 to record his career-best finish and help lead Francis Marion University to an eighth-place team finish, Tuesday (Feb. 18) on the final day of the 19th-annual Wexford Intercollegiate Men's Golf Tournament.
The 54-hole event was contested on the 6,884-yard, par-72 Wexford course.
Francis Marion will return to action on March 10-11 at USC Aiken's Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate Tournament.
On Tuesday, the Patriots posted a 302 team score and moved up one position in the team standings while finishing with an 897 total.
Bozard, a native of Hollywood, S.C., finished in a tie for 23rd position in the players' standings with 223 tally. FMU freshman
Leander Neuhaus shot a 74 on Tuesday and tied for 29th place at 224.

Xavier Schwarz placed in a tie for 51st position after a final-round 75. FMU freshman and Florence native
Matthew Parker carded an 81 on Tuesday and tied for 59th place, as did sophomore
Josh Dugard after he shot a 78 on Tuesday.
First-day leader Xavier University blistered the course for a four-under-par 284 team score on Tuesday and easily captured the team title by eight strokes over second-place USC Aiken. East Carolina University was another eight shots back in third place.
Xavier's Ray Filter shot a final-round 70 to earn medalist honors with a five-under 211 total.
