WAYNESVILLE, NC - Francis Marion University junior
Landen Seiffert shot an even-par 70 to lead the Patriots during second day action at the JT Poston Invitational Golf Tournament on Monday (Sept. 16).
The three-day 54-hole event is hosted by Western Carolina University and being played at the par-70, 6,720-yard Waynesville Inn & Golf Club.
Seiffert, a product of Florence Christian School, registered four birdies – including three on his first six holes – en route to his lowest round as a Patriot. Coupled with his one-over-par 71 on Sunday, he stands tied for 20th position at 141, 10 strokes behind the individual leader Alejandro Rodriguez (65-66=131) of Lipscomb University.
Lipscomb leads the team standings by 11 strokes over second-place Coastal Carolina University. Francis Marion followed its 287 score on Sunday with a 295 round on Monday and occupies 13th position in the team standings.

Josh Dugard recorded a 72 on Monday and is tied for 28th place in the players' standings at 142. Other Francis Marion golfers include fifth-year senior
Xavier Schwarz (73-76=149) tied for 68th position, freshman
Leander Neuhaus (73-77=150) tied for 74th, and sophomore
Ryan Bozard (75-80=155) tied for 87th.

Simon DiMaggio is playing as an individual and is also tied for 74th position with a 76-74=150 scorecard.
