Pake June led Francis Marion University to a 12th-place team standing after the opening day of USC Aiken's Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate Tournament on Monday (March 3).

The 54-hole event will conclude on Tuesday at the par 70, 6,617 yard Palmetto Golf Club course.

Francis Marion carded rounds of 294 and 297 for a 591 team tally after 36 holes.

Vance (72-75) and June (74-73) are both at seven-over-par 147 and tied for 35th position. Senior
Xavier Schwarz is one shot back at 71-77=148 and tied for 42nd place.

The other two FMU golfers are freshman
Simon Dimaggio (77-73=150) tied for 51st position and freshman
Ryan Bozard (82-76=158) tied for 72nd place.

The host Pacers and East Carolina University sit atop the team standings, while Will Davis of Davidson College leads the players' standings with a 67-66=133 scorecard.
