MILLEDGEVILLE, GA – Both the Francis Marion University men's and women's tennis teams lost 8-1 decisions to Georgia College, Friday afternoon (March 30) in Peach Belt Conference action.

FMU will continue its weekend road trip through the Peach State with a 1 p.m. match-up at Columbus State University on Saturday. The 21st-ranked Patriot men fall to 6-8 overall and 2-4 in the conference, while the FMU women drop to 7-7 and 1-5.  Both Georgia College squads were ranked in the most recent Oracle/ITA Top 50 polls.

Freshman Anton Nordenhem captured the FMU point with a 3-6, 6-2, 10-7 come-from-behind win at No. 6 singles, while on the women's side senior Sofia Henning earned a 2-6, 7-5, 10-5 victory at No.2 singles.
