Casullo leads Patriots golfers on Monday

KIAWAH ISLAND, SC – Junior Marc Casullo shot a two-over-par 74 to lead Francis Marion University on Monday (Oct. 31) during the second round of the East Bay Deli Classic hosted by Charleston Southern University on Kiawah Island.

The 54-hole event will conclude on Tuesday beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on the 6,911-yard, par 72 Turtle Point Golf Club.

Augusta University rallied during Monday's 18 holes to take over the top spot in the team standings with a 572 tally. The Jaguars are eight strokes ahead of the College of Charleston and nine up on first-round leader University of Tennessee.  FMU followed Sunday's round of 304 with a second-round 307.

Casullo's second round included three birdies and he now stands tied for 64th position in the players' standings at 153.  Junior Callum McGuigan followed up Sunday's even-par 72 with a 78 on Monday and is tied for 44th at 150. 

FMU junior Alessandro Caselli (75-79=154) and sophomore Lars Sandvoll (78-76=154) are tied for 70th and freshman Haakon Andersen (83-83=166) is tied for 111th position.
