PEMBROKE, NC – The 14th-ranked Francis Marion University women's tennis team defeated UNC Pembroke 7-2, Wednesday afternoon (April 6) in Peach Belt Conference action.
FMU concludes its PBC slate with a 7-5 record, while also improving to 11-6 overall. The Patriots will close out their regular-season schedule with a non-conference road match at Anderson University on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Nationally ranked Jitka Gavdunova and Mona Blauen combined to win their No.1 doubles match and then each won their singles matches in straight sets.
