FLORENCE, SC - The nationally ranked Francis Marion University
men's and women's tennis teams swept Georgia Southwestern State
University by identical 9-0 scores, Friday afternoon (April 3) in
Peach Belt Conference action.
The 11th-ranked Patriot men improved to 13-4 overall and 3-4 in
the Peach Belt, while GSW dropped to 4-11 and 0-6. The
eighth-ranked Patriot women (14-3, 7-2) lost only three games while
blowing past the Lady Hurricanes (3-14, 0-7).
Both FMU squads will play host to Augusta State University on
Saturday at 11 a.m. on the Kassab Courts. The GSW women play
at UNC Pembroke on Saturday at 11 a.m. Both GSW squads will
host Augusta State on Sunday at 1 p.m.
