Francis Marion University / McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week

Francis Marion University graduate student first baseman and designated hitter Darius Nobles has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of March 21-27, 2022.

The Greenville, N.C., native batted .615 (8-for-13) in three games last week with five runs scored, a triple, two homers, and eight runs batted in.  He also registered a slugging percentage of 1.231 and an on-base percentage of .688. He recorded hits and RBIs in all three games of the series.

He went 5-for-5 versus Emmanuel College in the first game of Saturday's twinbill, one hit shy of the Patriot single-game record, and lacked only a double for him to hit for the cycle.

Francis Marion will host Queens University of Charlotte for a non-conference contest on Wednesday at 6 p.m., before taking to the road to play a three-game Conference Carolinas series at Southern Wesleyan University on Friday (single game at 6 pm) and Saturday (doubleheader at 1 pm).
