Freshman midfielder Davynn Godshall of the Francis Marion University women's soccer team has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Sept. 4-7, 2025.

The Pikeville, N.C., native came off the bench to score a 29th-minute goal to spark FMU to a 2-0 road win at USC Aiken.  She played 29 minutes and recorded two shots, including her left-footed score that gave the Patriots a 1-0 advantage.

Francis Marion (1-0-0) will open Conference Carolinas play on Saturday (Sept. 13) when the Patriots host Chowan University for a 4:30 p.m. match on Hartzler Field.
