Senior forward Adonis Cole of the Francis Marion University men’s basketball team has been named the McDonald’s Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Jan. 19-25.

The Charleston, S.C., native averaged 15.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game in two contest last week. He shot 46.2 percent from the field and was 7-of-9 from the charity stripe. Cole’s week included a career-high 25 points and 10 rebounds versus Ferrum College before totaling six points and 12 rebounds at Erskine College.

Francis Marion will play a pair of Conference Carolinas games this week: Wednesday (Jan. 28) at the University of Mount Olive before returning home to face Southern Wesleyan University on Saturday (Feb. 1) with tip-off set for 4 p.m.
