Francis Marion University / McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week

Francis Marion University men's basketball junior guard Alex Cox has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 18-24. Cox, a Concord, N.C., native, logged a career night for the Patriots with 20 points and four rebounds, including the game winning steal and layup in the final seconds to give Francis Marion a 79-78 victory over the Young Harris Mountain Lions.

He currently ranks No. 1 in Peach Belt Conference in minutes played per game (37:30).
