Jazmine McDonald-Craft became the first Francis Marion University track and field athlete to win an event at the Conference Carolinas Women's Track and Field Championships as she had the top throw in the discus at Friday's (Apr. 25) championship meet in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The three-day event will conclude on Saturday (Apr. 26) at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
McDonald-Craft, a native of Columbia, S.C., and a product of A.C. Flora High School, lifted a toss of 40.43 meters to win the event.

Aukeyonna Sims, a native of Darlington and a graduate of Darlington High School, scored in the high jump, finishing third with a leap of 1.62 meters.
