Senior setter Kaylee Gillespie of the Francis Marion University volleyball team has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 23-29.

In three matches last week (all wins), the Pickens, S.C., native averaged 12.27 assists and 2.82 digs per set with seven kills, three service aces, and four blocks.  She helped direct FMU to a team hitting percentage of .280 in the three matches.

Her match results included 50 assists and 19 digs in a five-set win over Barton College, 40 assists and seven digs in sweep of King University (Tenn.), and 45 assists and five digs in sweep of Lees-McRae College.

Francis Marion will conclude its regular-season schedule with three road matches: Oct. 31 at UNC Pembroke, Nov. 4 at the University of Mount Olive, and Nov. 6 at Barton College.
