Junior Liam Day of the Francis Marion University men's tennis team has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 13-19, 2023.

Day, a native of Edenvale, South Africa, had a perfect week going 2-0 in both No.1 singles and No.1 doubles.  He helped the Patriots beat local-rival Coker 6-1 on Wednesday with a pair of wins, and then rallied to win in three-sets at No.1 singles and also posted a No.1 doubles win in a road loss to Augusta University.

He is 5-1 in singles play this year.

Francis Marion will play at Lenoir-Rhyne University on Saturday at 1 p.m.  The next home match for the Patriots is March 5 at noon against West Virginia Wesleyan College.
