Senior guard Tionne Rollins of the Francis Marion University men's basketball team has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 21-27, 2022.
The Tallahassee, Fla., native averaged 19.7 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game in three contests last week. He also recorded seven steals. He connected on 54.3 percent of his field goal attempts, including 8-of-16 from behind the three-point arc, and was 13-of-14 at the free throw line.
He scored 18 points with five assists in a conference win over Chowan University, tallied 28 points on 9-of-10 shooting in a road win at Lynn University, and then scored 13 points in a road loss to third-ranked Nova Southeastern University.
Rollins ranks sixth in the conference in scoring at 18.2 ppg, 11th in assists per game (3.0), 12th in free throw percentage (80.0%), and eighth in three-pointers made per game (2.2).
Francis Marion will host Newberry College on Monday at 7:30 p.m., before traveling to nationally ranked UNC Pembroke on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and then hosting Belmont Abbey College on Saturday at 4 p.m.
