Francis Marion University / McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week

Francis Marion University softball sophomore pitcher Taylor Florea has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Mar. 15-21.

Florea, a Blanchester, Ohio, native recorded a seven inning shutout in game two of the doubleheader against Augusta University on Saturday, March 20. In seven innings she only allowed five hits — all singles — and struck out a pair of Jaguars. This marked her first shutout in a Patriot uniform, and the third shutout of the season for the FMU Softball squad.
