Francis Marion University / McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week

Francis Marion University women’s soccer sophomore goalkeeper Makayla Willets has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Mar. 1-7.

Willets, a Mastic, N.Y., native recorded seven saves in the 3-1 win over Georgia College, on Monday, March 1. She logged four saves in the first half and cut off several passes to end Georgia College threats. In 379:56 minutes in goal, Willets has pitched one shut and has a 2.13 goals against average.

She leads the Peach Belt Conference in Save per Game, averaging five.
