Junior forward-center Jordyn Surratt of the Francis Marion University men's basketball team has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Jan. 6-12, 2025.

A native of Spartanburg, S.C., Surratt tallied a career-high 23 points to go along with seven rebounds, four assists, and a blocked shot in Francis Marion's only game last week.  He connected on 8-of-13 field goal attempts and was 7-of-12 at the foul line, while playing all but 24 seconds of the game against Chowan University.

Francis Marion will host a pair of Conference Carolinas games this week:  the University of Mount Olive on Wednesday (Jan. 15) at 7:30 p.m. and Erskine College on Saturday (Jan. 18) at 4 p.m.
