Junior middle blocker Caroline Lucas of the Francis Marion University volleyball team has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Nov. 4-10, 2024.

The Easley, S.C., native averaged 3.57 kills, 0.43 blocks, and 1.00 digs per set in two road matches last week with a .400 hitting percentage.  She also served one ace.  She began the week with seven kills and a .400 hitting percentage at the University of Mount Olive, and then tallied a season-high 18 kills with a .400 hitting percentage in a win over Chowan University.

Francis Marion (15-12) will conclude its regular season on Tuesday (Nov. 12) with a 6 p.m. home match against Barton College.  FMU will then await the announcement of the Conference Carolinas Tournament seedings to see when and where the Patriots play next.
