GREENVILLE, SC – Thirty-eight student-athletes from Francis Marion University representing 10 sports have been named to the Conference Carolinas 2025-26 Winter and Spring Academic All-Conference Teams Presented by Barnes & Noble College.

Patriots named to the Academic All-Conference Team for women's basketball are junior MacKenzie Feagin (Effingham, SC) and sophomore Kiara Croskey (Sumter, SC).

FMU acrobatics and tumbling athletes garnering Academic All-Conference honors are senior Mikayla Brown (Parkville, MD), sophomore Chloe Myers (Rockford, WA), junior Keirstyn Rogers (Sumter, SC), junior Kaylee Rowell (Hamer, SC), and sophomore Hallie Whitlock (Turbeville, SC).

Patriot baseball players earning Academic All-Conference recognition include junior Trevor Hilton (Dorchester, SC), senior Robbie Jordan (Florence, SC), senior Kaden Olney (Valrico, FL), red-shirt freshman Owen Powell (Georgetown, SC), senior Henry Swicord (Kingstree, SC), junior Manning Thompson (Holly Hill, SC), senior Tripp Triplett (Lake Lure, NC), and senior Dariel Villaran Goundis (Simpsonville, SC).

Francis Marion softball players named to the Academic All-Conference Team are sophomore Neilah Browne (Blythewood, SC), senior Tallulah Civoniceva (Scarborough, Queensland, Australia), sophomore Kelsey Day (Anderson, IN), senior Maddy Golka (Wesley Chapel, FL), graduate student Mikaela Goss (Fuquay-Varina, NC), senior Paige Strickland (Creedmoor, NC), senior Anderson Thrower (Hanahan, SC), graduate student Jenna Walling (Johns Island, SC), sophomore Sydney Weaver (Kingsville, MD), graduate student Rylie Webster (Yanceyville, NC), and senior Madalyn White (Currie, NC).

Gaining Academic All-Conference honors from the FMU men's tennis squad are junior Alexander Mirkov (Auckland, New Zealand) and senior Niklas Plath (Albstadt, Germany), and from the women's team are sophomore Valery Gomez (Floridablanca, Colombia) and senior Lian Timmermans (Nederweert, Netherlands).

FMU men's indoor and outdoor track and field athletes garnering Academic All-Conference recognition are sophomore Rashawn Byrd (Columbia, SC), junior Niclas Giessler (Elxleben, Germany), graduate student Ryan Hunter (Blythewood, SC), sophomore Alex Lance (Columbia, SC), and senior Andrew Lance (Columbia, SC), while from the women's team honorees include senior Rileigh Lacy (Darlington, SC), junior Jordyn Perry (Florence, SC), and sophomore Natalie Rose (Murrells Inlet, SC).

Repeat honorees from last year include Feagin, Brown, Rogers, Rowell, Thompson, Villaran Goundis, Webster, Plath, Timmermans, Hunter, and Perry.   Earning Academic All-Conference honors for the third time are Goss, Strickland, Thrower, Walling, and White, while Jordan picks up his fourth recognition.

The Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference teams consist of junior and senior student-athletes who competed in a conference-sponsored sport and maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale in all work completed at their member institution. Each student-athlete must have attended their member institution for at least one academic year.
