  • How you got your nickname:  My family always shortened my name to Alex growing up

  • Goals for Upcoming Season:  Work towards making conference and improve in sprints and javelin as much as possible
  • Why you first chose your sport: I originally played baseball, where I played outfield and excelled when running bases; I always enjoyed sprinting and knew I would transition well to throwing the javelin
  • Biggest mental challenge in your sport:  Dealing with failure and using that to motivate you.
  • Do you have any siblings who have played/are playing sports in college? Yes, my older brother Andrew Lance is also on the Patriot track and field team
