Francis Marion University will hold Baseball Prospect Camps for high school players, junior college players, and collegiate players currently in the portal on Saturday, Aug. 17, and Saturday, Aug. 24. Rain dates will be Aug. 18 and 25.
Each camp will start at 9:30 a.m. on Cormell Field at Sparrow Stadium in the Griffin Athletic Complex, and conclude at approximately 2:30 p.m.
There will be three camp options for each session: $175 for two-way players, $150 for position players (non pitchers), and $125 for pitchers only.
ON-LINE REGISTRATION
These camps are used as a one of the main recruiting tools for FMU Baseball, to evaluate particular skills and tools of possible student-athletes. Each session will include a full pro-style workout for position players with the running of the 60-yard dash; defensive segments for outfielders, infielders and catchers; and will conclude with two rounds of on-field batting practice. Following the pro-style workout, there will be a simulated game for everyone attending camp to display their skills in a game situation.Â
How you sign up for the camp will determine how you are organized and what you are allowed to do during camp. Two-way player and position player sign-ups will be the only players allowed to participate in the pro-style workout. Pitcher only participants will be pitching only in the game. Â
Camp registrations are non-refundable. If you need to switch camps, 48 hours notice prior to the start of the Aug. 10 session is requested.
