SAVANNAH, GA – National power Armstrong Atlantic State University swept both the nationally ranked Francis Marion University men's and women's tennis teams in Peach Belt Conference action on Sunday (March 27).
The top-ranked and three-time defending national champion AASU women (16-0, 8-0) completed a perfect home season by handing 13th-ranked FMU (9-5, 5-4) a 9-0 defeat.
The third-ranked and also unbeaten Pirate men (15-0, 6-0) also beat the 17th-ranked Patriot men (7-5, 3-4) by a 9-0 count.
Both Francis Marion squads will return to action on Wednesday with a 3 p.m. match at local-rival Coker College.
