Francis Marion University Athletics

Senior forward Kiana Lee of the Francis Marion University women's basketball team has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Nov. 18-24, 2024.

A native of North Augusta, S.C., Lee averaged 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 0.5 steals in two wins last week.  She connected on 10-of-23 field goal attempts and 14-of-15 free throws.  She recorded 20 points and five rebounds, and hit two key free throws with 23 seconds left, in a 61-60 win over 25th-ranked Augusta University.  During the contest, she became the 31st player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.  She then tallied 15 points, nine assists, and two rebounds in a home conference win over Converse University.

Francis Marion (4-1, 1-0) will host Young Harris College on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. and Fayetteville State University on Monday, Dec. 2, at 5:30 p.m. for the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Black Out Game.
