Senior right-handed pitcher Brennan Murphy of the Francis Marion University baseball team has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of April 8-14.

The Harrogate, Tenn., native tossed a complete-game (9 innings) one-hitter at USC Aiken in a 6-1 FMU win.  He threw 121 pitches and registered six strikeouts, 12 fly outs, and nine ground outs, while walking three as he faced 32 batters.

Francis Marion will play host to regionally ranked Lander University on Tuesday (April 16)  at 6 p.m., before traveling to Southern Wesleyan University for a Conference Carolinas series this weekend.
