Katelynn Roberts – have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team for 2025-26.
Andrew Lance has garnered the accolade three times, while the other four student-athletes received the academic honor for the first time in their careers.
To qualify for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a cumulative 3.50 GPA, and rank among the top 50 in an individual event in their respective region on the TFRRS performance list. Additionally, each institution is capped at six nominees in the sport of men's and women's track & field/cross country.
Green, a native of Tulsa, Okla., maintains a 3.84 GPA while pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting. She garnered USTFCCCA Southeast All-Region honors in the discus during the outdoor campaign, while boasting a top 10 mark regionally in both the discus and shot put. Green contributed 13 points toward the team standings at the Conference Carolinas Championship after placing fourth in the shot put and earning all-conference honors with a runner-up finish in the discus. Green has been named to both the FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll and the Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll in every semester at Francis Marion.

Alex Lance holds a perfect 4.00 GPA as a computer science major. He earned All-Conference Carolinas honors in the 400 meters after posting a blistering pace of 48.00 seconds to place second overall at the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championship, which established a new school record. Lance held the 13th-best time in the Southeast Region in the outdoor 400m, while holding a top 40 regional mark in the indoor 400m and javelin. Lance has been named to both the FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll and the Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll in both semesters as a student-athlete at FMU.
Andrew Lance, older brother of Alex and also a native of Columbia, S.C., recently graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering while maintaining a 3.59 GPA. Lance competed at the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championship in the javelin and boasted a top 25 mark in the Southeast Region in the event in 2026. Lance is a member of Chi Alpha Sigma national college athlete honor society, and previously served one year on the University's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). He earned a Division II ADA Academic Achievement Award twice (2023-24).
A local product of Florence, S.C., Perry holds a 3.63 GPA while pursuing a bachelor's degree in biology. She competed in the hurdling events during the indoor and outdoor seasons and held a top 40 time in the region in the outdoor 400-meter hurdles. Perry competed in the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championships in three events. Perry has been named to both the FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll and the Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll in every semester at Francis Marion.
Roberts, a native of Latta, S.C., maintains a 3.54 GPA as a nursing major at FMU. She participated throughout the entire 2025-26 season, competing in cross country and indoor/outdoor track & field. Roberts held a top 40 mark in the Southeast Region in the indoor high jump, javelin, and outdoor high jump. Roberts has been named to both the FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll and the Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll in every semester as a Patriot.
Green is a graduate of New Deal High School (Texas), while the Lance brothers attended Spring Valley High School. Perry is a local product of West Florence High School, and Roberts is a graduate of Latta High School.
