FLORENCE, SC – Francis Marion University sophomore Miguel Maia was recognized with All-Conference honors on Wednesday (Apr. 22) as Conference Carolinas announced its post-season awards prior to the start of the 2026 tournament.  He was a second-team selection.

The sixth-seeded Patriot men battle North Greenville University at 2 p.m. on Wednesday (Apr. 22) in the squad's opening match at the tournament.  The event is being played at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.

Maia, a native of Barcelona, Spain, registered a 9-8 overall singles mark at the No.1 position, but was 8-3 against conference opponents.  He posted an 8-10 overall doubles record, but in conference play was 8-4 at the No.2 position.

Maia is majoring in business economics and is a graduate of La Farga School.
