HARTSVILLE, SC – Francis Marion University sophomore Lara Lanno captured a straight-sets singles win, but the Patriots fell to Coker University 4-1, Thursday (March 5) in non-conference women's tennis play.
 
Francis Marion (1-4) will host Augusta University on Sunday at 1 p.m. on the Kassab Courts.
 
Coker earned the doubles point with 6-2 and 6-3 victories at the top two positions.
 
The Cobras upped the margin to 3-0 with singles wins at the No.1 and No.5 slots, before Lanno was a 6-1, 6-2 winner at the second slot to trim the deficit to 3-1. However, Coker claimed a 6-4, 6-2 win at No.4 singles to clinch the match.
