Francis Marion University will celebrate Homecoming 2026 with a number of athletic events this weekend (Feb. 6-8).
The men's and women's basketball teams will play host to Belmont Abbey College for a Conference Carolinas doubleheader on Saturday (Feb. 7), while the FMU baseball team will entertain West Liberty University for a three-game series this weekend at the Griffin Athletic Complex.
The baseball series will consist of single games on Friday at 4 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m.
Saturday's women's basketball game will tip-off at 2 p.m. in the Smith University Center, followed by the men's contest at 4 p.m. Admission to all sporting events on Saturday will be free.
Homecoming activities will begin Saturday at approximately 11 a.m. with PatriotFest in the Smith University Center featuring entertainment, and an opportunity for alumni to interact. Tailgating (by reservation) will be available behind the Smith University Center beginning at 11 a.m.
Between games of the basketball doubleheader, at approximately 3:30 p.m., former baseball catcher Jared Barkdoll ('09), former men's basketball player Patrick Callaway ('87), and former men's tennis player Oshada Wijemanne ('11) will be inducted into the FMU Athletic Hall of Fame.
The three will join 61 current members in the Hall of Fame, which was formed in 1991.
The 2026 Homecoming King and Queen will be announced at the conclusion of the men's basketball game.
