Caroline Lucas paced Francis Marion University with 14 kills in a 21-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-12, 15-11 five-set loss against West Virginia Wesleyan College on Saturday (Sept. 7) in the final game of the Coker Cobras Classic.

The Patriots will travel to Aiken, S.C., on Friday (Sept. 13) to compete against USC Aiken at 11 a.m. and Carson Newman University at 3 p.m. Francis Marion will also play Augusta University and University of Montevallo in the two-day Pacer Invitational.

Kara Walker (9) combined for an additional 20 kills. Lucas also totaled three blocks against the Bobcats, while posting a .737 hitting percentage. Senior middleblocker Kaitlyn Smart had two blocks.

Kathryn Lupo dug up nine digs.
