HICKORY, NC – The Francis Marion University women's tennis team lost a 6-1 decision to Lenoir-Rhyne University, Sunday afternoon (Feb. 26) in non-conference action.
 
Francis Marion (3-3) will travel to Lander University on Thursday for a 2 p.m. first serve. The next home match for the Patriots will be Sunday at noon against West Virginia Wesleyan College.
 
LRU (5-4) captured the doubles point by sweeping all three matches.  The Bears then won the first five singles matches that finished, before FMU freshman Chelsea Seidewitz rallied for a 2-6, 7-6 (7-3), 10-7 victory at No.2 singles to remain unbeaten (5-0) this season.
 
Three of the Patriots' singles losses came in three sets.
