FLORENCE, SC – For the second time in less than 24 hours, sophomore
Camryn Cassetori registered the match-clinching singles win as Francis Marion University blanked King University (Tenn.) 7-0, Saturday afternoon (April 2) in Conference Carolinas women's tennis play.

FMU remains unbeaten in conference action at 5-0 and is 10-3 overall. The Patriots will play at Belmont Abbey College on Friday at 2:30 p.m.

Francis Marion claimed all three doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead. After claiming the No.3 doubles match by default, sophomore
Julie Martincova and freshman
Kim Venghaus earned a 6-3 victory at the No.2 spot, followed by freshman
Paige Wise and junior
Hermon Mikael winning 6-1 at the top position.

Buoyed by default wins at the bottom two singles positions that upped the margin to 3-0, Cassetori clinched the team's ninth straight win by claiming a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No.4 singles.

The other three singles wins came from Wise (6-3, 6-1) at No.1, Martincova (6-3, 6-1) at No.2, and freshman
Sophia Hansen (6-3, 6-0) at No.3. Wise is undefeated in singles play this season with a 9-0 mark.
