Box Score SALISBURY, NC – Bluefield State College rallied to win four of six singles matches and claim a 4-3 win over Francis Marion University, Saturday afternoon (Feb. 29) in non-conference men's tennis play.
Francis Marion drops to 3-3, with all three losses coming by narrow 4-3 decisions. The Patriots will play host to a pair of matches this coming weekend at the Dr. Eddie Floyd/Florence Tennis Center: Chowan University on Saturday (March 7) at 10 a.m. and Lenoir-Rhyne University on Sunday (March 8) at 3 p.m.
Francis Marion earned the doubles point and a 1-0 advantage after wins by seniors Henri Broeseler and Mauricio Guerrero at No.2 by a 6-1 score and freshman Liam Day and junior Matt Astell at No.3 by a 7-5 count.
The Patriots received identical straight-set singles victories by graduate student Alex Regner at No.3 (6-1, 6-4) and junior Paul Meuwissen at No.6 (6-1, 6-4).
