The Patriots registered a school-record tying 32 steals, equaling a mark set in 2012 against Barber-Scotia College.  FMU also converted 36 CIU turnovers into 39 points.

Allen-Jordan scored 16 of his 20 points after halftime and finished the game shooting 8-of-14.  Freshman swingman A.J. Jackson scored a career-high 18 points, while senior Dustin Jones tallied 18 points in his first action of the 2014-15 season.  Jackson nailed 4-of-7 shots from beyond the arc, while Jones was 4-of-9 from long range.

Patriot freshman point guard Detrek Browning tallied 14 points, eight rebounds, seven steals, and three assists.  His seven thefts were one shy of the FMU single-game record. Freshman Mike Davis Jr. also collected seven steals, while scoring six points.

Freshman forward Marcus Praylow led CIU (1-9) with 10 points.

FMU broke an early 5-5 tie with a 12-2 run.  Now trailing 17-7, the Rams responded with an 11-3 spurt to trim the margin to 20-18 with 8:09 left in the first stanza.  Francis Marion scored 14 of the half's final 16 points to open a 43-26 lead at intermission.

The Patriots scored the first 11 points of the second half to open a commanding 54-28 advantage. The final margin of 43 points equaled the largest Francis Marion lead of the night.

FMU shot 46.8 percent from the field, while holding CIU to 32.2 percent.  The Patriots were 10-of-29 from three-point range, while the Rams were 4-of-23.
