FLORENCE, SC – The nationally ranked Francis Marion University men's and women's tennis teams celebrated their annual USTA/Campus Kids' Day with non-conference victories over Tusculum College, Saturday afternoon (March 9) at the Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence Tennis Center.

The 11th-ranked FMU women (11-1) won their fourth straight match with an 8-1 win over Tusculum (6-2), while the 27th-ranked FMU men improved to 8-3 on the season with a 9-0 blanking of the Pioneer men (3-4).

After winning two of three double matches, the Francis Marion women lost only 14 games during singles play en route to beating their 14th consecutive non-conference opponent.

The Francis Marion men won all three doubles matches rather easily and then swept every singles contest in straight-sets.

Both Francis Marion squads will play host to USC Aiken in key Peach Belt Conference matches on Sunday (March 10) at 1 p.m. on the Kassab Courts.
