Sophomore guard-forward Trinity Adams of the Francis Marion University women's basketball team has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 27-Dec. 3.

A native of Rock Hill, S.C., Adams averaged 17.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game in two road contests last week.  She connected on 59.1 percent of her field goal attempts, including 6-of-9 from three-point territory, and was 3-of-4 at the foul line.

She scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds against Fayetteville State University on Nov. 28 and opened Conference Carolinas play with a 21-point, 4-rebound, 4-assist, 4-steal performance at Chowan University on Dec. 2.  The 21-point outburst matched her career high.

Francis Marion will play a non-conference game at Johnson C. Smith University on Monday, Dec. 4, at 5:30 p.m. before taking a break for exams.
