Senior forward Bryce Beamer of the Francis Marion University men's basketball team has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 14-20, 2022.

The Odessa, Fla., native averaged 16.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in two contests last week.  He also recorded three assists and two steals, while committing only two turnovers.  He connected on 53.8 percent of his field goal attempts, including 5-of-11 from behind the arc.

He posted 11 points and six rebounds in the season-opener versus Coker and then tallied 22 points and seven rebounds in a home victory over Voorhees University.

Francis Marion will open Conference Carolinas play on Tuesday with a 7:30 p.m. home game with Chowan University.  The Patriots will travel to the Sunshine State for a pair of games over the Thanksgiving weekend: Nov. 25 at Lynn University and Nov. 26 at Nova Southeastern University.
